A little bit about me

Samuel Doncaster loves seeing the truth come to light. That explains why he is so passionate about litigation. The end goal of discovery, depositions, and cross examination is to get to a closing argument, expose the truth to the jury, and refute whatever lie the other side told.

Sam has plenty of experience doing just that. He is an experienced trial attorney and creative legal strategist with extensive experience in real estate and business disputes. His real estate clients have benefitted from the following results:

  • Sam defeated a deed fraud claim by directed verdict after personally cross-examining the plaintiff.
  • He won a three-day jury trial resulting from a lease dispute.
  • He wrote the winning brief in a successful appeal of a $65,000,000 deficiency judgment.
  • He obtained an Order from a Judge requiring immediate removal of a lis pendens wrongfully filed against his client’s property.
  • He defeated an attempt to enforce a real estate purchase option at the pleading stage. obtaining an award of attorneys’ fees for his client.

More About Sam

After graduating in the top five in his class from Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at ASU with honors, Order of the Coif, Summa Cum Laude and as a Pedrick Scholar, Sam secured a prestigious clerkship with the Arizona Court of Appeals, where he worked directly with an appellate judge drafting legal opinions. He worked side by side with this judge for two years, learning how judges make decisions and how to persuade them. Of course, he incorporates these lessons into every brief he writes as a trial lawyer.

Sam has developed a reputation as a tireless advocate and a creative thinker. His frequent success with “outside the box” legal solutions has earned him a loyal client base and notoriety as the person to speak to on tough cases.

Sam is happily married to his beautiful wife with whom he has three sons. Outside the office, Sam unwinds through cross-fit training and exercise. He also maintains strong ties to the community. He is a President of the Phoenix Symphony Young Professionals and is active in Redemption Church.
