Mr. Oman represents and advises a variety of businesses on transactions, contracts, negotiations, and day-to-day business issues. He has been involved in business purchase and sale transactions, franchising, resolving business disputes, contract and lease drafting, and various commercial matters. Mr. Oman assists entrepreneurs and new businesses by advising them concerning sound business practices, complying with applicable laws, drafting appropriate documents, and evaluating risks.
Mr. Oman has been involved in a wide variety of real estate matters, including property sales and purchases, eminent domain, property rights disputes, zoning and development issues. Mr. Oman has been involved in many commercial landlord-tenant matters. He prepares leases and customized rental documents and negotiates the resolution of disputes. He has also advised homeowners, homeowner associations, commercial community associations, and property management firms on a diverse array of matters, including contract and business matters, document interpretation, drafting of new and revised documents, and construction matters.
Mr. Oman has advised clients in estate and trust matters for over twenty-five years. He prepares estate documents designed specifically for each client’s needs and desires and has done tax planning, charitable planning, foundation and nonprofit organizations work, business succession planning, and the complete spectrum of individual estate documents such as Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney.
Steve Oman has significant experience in providing legal guidance to businesses operating in corporate, partnership, and other formats, including general commercial, corporate, merger and acquisition, securities, and tax matters. He has served as a director of public and non-public companies. Mr. Oman also has significant experience in all areas of real estate law including acquisition, development, construction, and sales. A major emphasis of Mr. Oman’s practice for the last twenty-five years has been to provide quality estate planning services, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and tax planning.
Mr. Oman received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree in 1970 from the University of Minnesota, Institute of Technology, and his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota in 1975.
Mr. Oman is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and the Maricopa County Bar Association.
Mr. Oman was born in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1948 and moved to Arizona in 1986. He is married to Catherine (Kitty) and they have four children. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of American Friends of Tyndale House Cambridge.
